What worked for you before might not be what you need now.

I work with capable professionals and leaders navigating career change, greater responsibility, and the challenges of senior leadership.

Julian Gilbey, Leadership and Career Transition Coach

Something has changed.

Perhaps you've built a successful career but can no longer ignore the feeling that something needs to change.

Perhaps you've taken on greater responsibility and discovered that the role asks something different of you.

Or perhaps you're already an experienced leader, but the decisions are harder, the expectations greater, and there are fewer places where you can think out loud.

Different situations. A similar need: space to think clearly about what comes next.

I offer three areas of coaching.

Career Transition

When something no longer fits and you need to work out what comes next.

Leadership Coaching

When greater responsibility asks you to think, act and lead differently.

Executive Coaching

For senior leaders facing greater complexity, pressure and responsibility.

The situation is where we start. You are what we're coaching.

A difficult decision, a struggling team member, a career question or a challenging relationship at work might be what brings you to coaching.

We’ll work on what’s happening. But we’ll also pay attention to what it reveals: how you make decisions, what you avoid, when you stop trusting yourself, and how you respond when the pressure is on.

What changes through coaching.

Career Transition

"He has a great ability to ask the right questions, helping me see situations from a different perspective and gain much greater clarity."

His support, encouragement and thoughtful approach gave me the confidence and motivation to move forward with important decisions.

Julian Gilbey, Leadership and Career Transition Coach

I'm Julian.

I spent much of my career in senior leadership roles, so I know what it is like to carry responsibility, make difficult decisions and appear certain when you don't always feel it.

My own career has also changed direction more than once. That experience shapes the way I coach: practical, thoughtful and interested in the person behind the job title.

I won't tell you what to do. I'll help you step back from the noise, see what's really going on and make decisions you can stand behind.

Not sure what you need yet?

You don't need to have everything worked out before we speak.

An initial conversation is simply a chance to talk about what's going on, what you'd like to change, and whether working together would be useful.
